Alcatraz Island, often referred to as "The Rock", offers a close-up look of the first lighthouse and US built fort on the West Coast, and the infamous maximum security federal penitentiary long off-limits to the public. There is also a natural side to be explored with gardens, tide pools, bird colonies, and bay views beyond compare.


Lands End is a park located in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Take a hike down to Mile Rock Beach or dive into some San Francisco history and plan a visit to Sutro Baths ruins.
